Tommy Lee Jones is reportedly working with Warner Bros. to write and direct a remake of the 1972 film "The Cowboys." The Mark Rydell film starred movie icon John Wayne.
In the original movie, Wayne played Wil Anderson, a rancher left by his cattle drivers as they all search for gold. He is left with young local boys to help him get his cattle herd to market to avoid losing money.
There is no word yet on who is going to play the lead role or if Jones will be starring in the movie.
