The Dark Knight is the greatest comic-book movie superheroes. That is, according to 7,000 respondents, polled by ranker.com to find out the best superhero. The survey listed 113 comic-book movies dating back to 1940's The Green Hornet. Here's the list for the top five: No. 1, The Dark Knight (2008); No. 2, Batman Begins (2005); No. 3, X-Men: First Class (2011); No. 4, Iron Man (2008); and No. 5. The Dark Knight Rises . The list cements Christopher Nolan, director of Batman trilogy, as the godfather of comic-book movies. He also produced this year's Superman reboot Man of Steel, which was No. 25.
