Singing sensation Susan Boyle is making her movie debut in "The Christmas Candle" by EchoLight Studios. The family film movie is based on Max Lucardo's book on Christmas miracles that occur every 25 years since 1890 in a small candle-lit village. Joining Boyle is Samantha Barks who played Eponine in Les Miserables. In the movie, Barks wanted to replace the town's candle with electricity.
Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is the CEO of EchoLight Studios. In a statement, he said that "The Christmas Candle" reminds everyone that Christmas is not just about reindeer and shopping. It is about hope and miracles.
Boyle's new single "Miracle Hymn" will be used prominently in the movie. The movie is set for showing on November 22.
