This coming weekend will have the movie competing against "Muppets Most Wanted." #300: Rise of an Empire" brought an estimated $19.1 million for a total $78.3 million on domestic sales. "Need for Speed" was the downer, failing to meet analyst expectations as it only brought in $17.8 million. This is a far cry from the expected $20 million range for the movie.
