Movie ticket sales around the world rose 6 percent in 2012, to $34.7 billion from $32.6 billion in 2011, according to statistics released by the Motion Picture Association of America.It should be noted that China, with box office reaching $2.7 billion in 2012 is now the world's second-biggest market for theatrical films after the US.
