Marvel Studios announced that they were releasing a special Chinese-only version of Iron Man 3. Partially shot in China with the assistance of Chinese company DMG Entertainment, the film includes scenes shot in Beijing. The movie includes Chinese actor Wang Xueqi in all versions. Famous actress Fan Beingbing will have a special appearance.The Chinese release will also include “specially prepared bonus footage made exclusively for the Chinese audience.” Marvel's move is an obvious response to the growing Chinese film audience.
