John Wesley Shipp, the Original Flash in the ‘90s superhero movie, will play the role as Barry’s father in the remake. The son now turns into a father. Meanwhile Grant Gustin will be portraying as Barry, the son. The executive producer, Greg Berlinti, had his eyes glued on Shipp. He knew that there was no one better than him for the father role. Shipp was Mitch Leery in Dawson’s Creek wherein he portrayed a father figure role making him more suitable for the role as the father of the new generation Flash. Expect the superhero’s father soon as The Flash starts airing this fall.
