HBO announced, in behalf of James Gandolfini's family, that the funeral for the actor will be held this Thursday at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in New York City. The service will start at 10am. Taormina Film Festival, one of the events that Gandolfini was supposed to attend while on vacation, paid tribute to the actor. Broadway theaters will also pay tribute to the actor by dimming their marquees on Wednesday night. Gandolfini also had a successful stage career.
